In late October, 2002, an international "Rethinking Modernity" scientific conference was held in Moscow. Notable Russian and foreign specialists in Modernity problems took part in it. The conference had been designed and was put through as an organic succession of four round tables: "Turning Points of History and the World Order"; "Prospects of Evolution of the State in the Modern World"; "New Threats to International Security"; "New Economic Structures and the World Politics". In the previous issue (Polis, 2003, № 2) we acquainted the readers with materials of the former two. This time, an abridged version of the latter two is published.
