Russia’s image in the world is seriously influenced by stereotype perceptions. Some problems, at that, stem directly from misconceptions. Russia needs to overcome the deep distrust of the Western public as regards the country’s state apparatus which is commonly perceived as manipulative and egoistic. The article discusses strategies of attracting new means of image-making policy using more actively potentialities of the country’s culture and of its business structures.
