A book by a well-known Russian orientalist academician N.A.Simonia holds a number of his works written for forty years of his scientific activity. The ideas contained in these works are topical up to the present day: application of the formation theory for the realities of modern Orient; undulatory character of political revolutions; “bureaucratic capitalism” in developing countries and in modern Russia etc.
