The article offers semiotic approach to the cultural-political situation in modern Russia. With amplified conception of text, it becomes possible to analyze current events of political life applying communication theory methods, psycho-linguistic approaches, and it proves feasible to make use of certain elements of the systemic method of working with text - method which characteristic of scientific study of literature and which is generally applied, as a rule, to fiction, to belles-lettres, and not to heterogeneous political discourses.
