In the article, particular features of the Korean problem’s evolution in the post-bipolar period are analyzed, with the nuclear aspect of the conflict taken into account. The conflict, at that, is considered, from the point of view of B.Buzan’s and O.Waever’s regional security complexes concept, as a reflection of amity-enmity-competition relations in North-East Asia, with the US penetration and involvement of the main regional actors – Chinese People’s Republic, Republic of Korea, Japan, Russia. The conflict in question is also considered as apt to entail regional arms race, for it can generate special perception of threats to security among the states involved in the process of its solution.
