The subject considered in the article is the situation that has by now formed in the country’s political science. In the author’s opinion, its development in the 2000s is objectively hampered by a number of antidemocratic tendencies of Russian politics. Discussions on a number of topical problems have been in fact cut down, which hinders their scientific study. However in a converted form discussions on modern political problems continue at most unexpected sites. As a vivid example, the author of the article draws the reader’s attention to the development of a corresponding political discourse in a number of works by modern Russian writers of science fiction.
