Abstract

The article inquires into actual aspects of G.H. Mead’s theory of political communication. Attention is drawn to the reflective process of mutual role-taking as basic element of Mead’s concept of conversation. Correlation of political dialogue and functional power in Mead’s concept is clarified in the article. Then the perspectives of global dialogue are analyzed from the positions of Mead’s theory of civil self-government. The author reflects on the role of unequal partners’ dialogues in the making of universe dialogue.
