The article analyses the current state of US economy and finance in the context of political and electoral cycles, as well as its impact on US-Russian economic relations. In the United States the two leading political parties traditionally debate about the issues of budget-monetary and fiscal policy. With the beginning of the world economic and financial crisis and escalation of problems of public debt and budget deficit, the economic discourse completely occupied the political arena in the United States.
