Abstract

The author tries to solve two tasks in his article: the first one is to formulate the concept of political marginality, and the second – to apply this concept for the description of the politics field and of political agents (political marginals) keeping in this field certain positions. He works out the formulation of the concept, turning for this purpose to available workings of theoretical sociology, of political philosophy and of political theory. The results the author comes to, he then applies for analyzing the activity of two concrete politicians: Daniel Cohn-Bendit, deputy of the European parliament, and Edward Limonov, Russian oppositionist.
