Abstract
"The author raises the question of the necessity and possibility of working out and realizing a liberal strategy of law and rule for Russia. From this angle, liberalism itself is considered - as positive rationality. In A.V.Khovanskaya’s opinion, Russia is destined to follow rational experience. Ground for conservatism has not yet been created here. The author’s attention is focused on analyzing the concept of person’s dignity as the measure of the due and the undue, as the basic value for the construction of law. In the concluding part of the article, methodological questions are discussed, topical and vital for the solution of the problems raised
