Abstract

Those figuring as participants of this round table on "Political Philosophy in Russia: the Present and the Future", are well-known scholars currently acting in Russian philosophy and/or political science: T.A.Alekseyeva, D.M.Feldman, M.V.Ilyin, V.L.Inozemtzev, B.G.Kapustin, I.I.Kravchenko, V.A.Lektorsky. In the course of the round table, their attention was concentrated on such questions as: the nature of political philosophy; relationship of political science and philosophy; particular features of the genesis and initial development of political philosophy in Russia; political agency; equality and justice in modern society. Divergent as their opinions might prove to be on many problems, all the participants of the discussion were issuing from the urgency of the demand of the century that has just come in, for politico-philosophical knowledge, from the importance of that knowledge for our country, now in a process of changing the paradigm of its development.
