Abstract

The article summarizes a research of world-outlook and ideological and political attitudes of representatives of Berlin's Moslem political and religious elite. Basing herself on qualitatively analyzed materials of half-structured (problem-oriented) interviews with leaders of the largest Moslem unions of Germany (Islamic Federation of Berlin, Turkish Social Democrats of Berlin, Turkish-Islamic Union of Religious Institutions) and with those members of Berlin Chamber of Deputies who come from Turkey, the author tries to elicit the Moslem elite's group orientations and stereotypes and to retrace particular features of its socialization and recruitment.
