Political Process as Studied through the Prism of the Economic Science:
the Complex Approach
Oleynov A.G. Political Process as Studied through the Prism of the Economic Science: the Complex Approach . – Polis. Political Studies. 2009. No. 4
The article deals with the “economic approach” in political science. Discussing the methodological and theoretical premises of applying methods of the economic science in political research, the author outlines the common axiomatic basis for the junction of the two branches of knowledge, i.e. of political and economic science. Corroborated by the analysis made, the conclusion is formulated, to the effect that it is quite possible to elaborate a complex approach based on economic methods of analysis and on the use of the abundant descriptive material of political science; in the long run, a paradigm of such complex approach is derived.
