Abstract

The author considers the origin and the contents of the notion rogue states, giving accentuated attention to its normative-institutional substantiation. He stresses particular functional significance of rogue states for providing consolidation of the international community of the states of the West and for the constituting of the relevant identity. The author singles out two “classical”, in his opinion, cases of attributing concrete states to this category, North Korea and Iran.
