Human rights and tolerance
Kartzov A.S. Human rights and tolerance . – Polis. Political Studies. 2010. No. 6
The article deals with the correlation of the concepts of “human rights” and of “tolerance”. In this connection the author examines the latest trends in humanitarian law application (practice of the Court of the Council of Europe, examples of national jurisdiction), as well as the basic doctrinal approaches. The author substantiates the conclusion that tolerance is good at providing non-violent interaction between different ethnic and cultural groups. Thus, in legal contexts, tolerance proves to be actual as method for realization of human rights.
