In a globalizing world, the range of methodological approaches and methodological recommendations for the study and management of political communications is constantly getting larger. The paper analyzes the sphere of political communications in in the light of the publication of the guidebook “Strategic Communications in the Digital Age. New Technologies,” edited by and with the participation of Lyudmila Salnikova, a well-known expert in the field of strategic communication management. In the book, a team of competent specialists analyzes the basic principles of political communications in the digital economy, considering in detail the latest information and communication technologies. This review deals with the deep processes occurring in the modern information and communication space, changing its core and essence, transforming the individual and political sphere as a whole. The author concludes that it is natural to increase the number of communication channels and the volume of information passing through them. These processes, which have occurred since the formation of society and state, shape its civilizational models, ensuring the progressive evolution of mankind. The intellectual community should analyze them in order to minimize their negative consequences, primarily in the sphere of politics.
